Good morning, I am trying to identify a fish caught near Rome Point, North Kingstown, RI. In looking through your website, the closest things I can find that resemble this fish is a hake - fins on back match but the mouth is wrong and a cusk, single chin barbell and coloration but fins and mouth is wrong. This fish is about 15inches with the split - elongated fin on the top with the single chin barbel with a small mouth on the underside similar to a baby shark. It was caught using gulp small orange fish bait. Any information you can give me would be appreciated.
