smith pond Fishing Report

Great Day At Smith Pond

I wanted to stay around the house, and i drive by this pond all the time. It is a real pain to fish due to the shallow depth, and all the growth. It has green slime black slime, and all the worst types of growth. Running anything with an exposed hook is a waste of time because it will be full of garbage on the second crank of the reel. I had taken a break on fishing with worms to learn how to jig fish on the baitcaster, and i am glad i decided to bring them along today. Even a texas riged worm brought a lot of garbage back to the boat, but it also had a fish on the end a lot, so that was just fine with me.
