What's the best type of pole and anything else i'll need.
Not and RI surf fishing expert - spent one week in Charlestown last fall (1st week of October). The gear we used was a 9 foot plugging rod, with Penn 750 spinning loaded with 30lb power line and 5 foot Seagar flourcarbon leader. Used haevy metals and large Atom poppers for the bluefish. For bass in the evening we used various black Gibbs swimming plugs and also did alot of bucktailing. I believe we were using 2 to 2.5 oz white smiley face bucktails tipped with split tail pork rind or curly tail rubber grub. Make sure if you are going out on the rockpiles to have your korkers on. Good luck. I am heading up next week and the weekend after. Fishing was awesome the last three days of the trip.
